In this video, I demonstrate how I turned my iPad Mini into a custom Apple CarPlay system for a car with a small screen. I walk through the steps I took to create a dedicated home screen, set up a driving focus mode, and use shortcuts to improve the driving experience. I also show how I created automations that automatically activate or deactivate the driving focus mode when the iPad connects to or disconnects from the car.
